HONG KONG, CHINA - Feb. 6, 2014 /CNW/ - Seaspan Corporation ("Seaspan") (NYSE:SSW) announced today that it has priced its previously announced $125 million public offering of shares of its 8.25% Series E Cumulative Redeemable Perpetual Preferred Stock (the "Series E Preferred Shares") at $25 per share. Seaspan has granted the underwriters of the offering a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional $18.75 million of Series E Preferred Shares on the same terms and conditions. The offering is expected to close on February 13, 2014.
Seaspan intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes and to file an application to list the Series E Preferred Shares on The New York Stock Exchange.
